Compare the individual pen
Plastic pens come in different shapes, mechanisms and supplied ink descriptions. Read the actual product details instead of assuming all pens in a category write in the same colour or have the same features. If ink colour matters, request confirmation where it is not supplied. A stylus feature should also be checked for the selected model rather than inferred from the shape of the cap or tip.
Keep branding readable
Branded pens offer a small artwork area. A clear logo or short website address may be more practical than dense contact information. Ask for the available position and dimensions on the selected pen. The clip, curved barrel and mechanism can affect placement. Review the proof at its proposed size and check that the logo orientation works when the pen is held or presented.
Separate material facts from campaign language
A catalogue category does not prove every barrel uses the same material. Some products may use paper or other described components, so check the individual listing. Do not describe a pen as plastic-free, recycled or environmentally certified unless the supplied product evidence supports that exact claim. Choose the item first and keep campaign wording accurate to its confirmed specification.
Quote the complete distribution plan
For bulk promotional pens, provide the product, quantity, colour preference and artwork. Specify whether one design or multiple versions are required and where the order must be delivered. Catalogue pricing is a starting point where supplied; branding, VAT treatment and delivery are confirmed in the quotation. Ask about samples if you need to assess the writing feel before approving a larger run.
